You don’t have to be one of those people. Contrary to popular belief, creating a podcast can be really simple; getting it in front of the right audience is the real challenge for both new and existing podcasters. Since I’ve started Pink Lemonade Podcast in December 2016, I’ve learned the highs and lows of podcasting. The three secrets that have allowed me to grow my listeners to more than 35K, teach and speak about podcast marketing at in-person events, and get paid to help individuals and corporations start podcasts is: content, consistency, and clarity.
I believe in the power storytelling and sharing value-based information that can change someone’s life. However, I know the reality is that no matter how great of a podcaster you are, nobody will know that unless you are intentional about growing your audience through relevant content and creating a two-way dialogue that benefits your listeners. When you create podcast marketing goals and follow through, your podcast has the ability to 1) Raise your visibility and credibility 2) Help you directly or indirectly create revenue streams 3) give you the satisfaction of knowing that you can help with masses with your voice.
